ASSIGNMENT #12: 20 Questions to ask yourself to discover your destiny.
Take time to write out 1-3 answers for each of the questions below to help you begin thinking about how to utilize your new success routine to accomplish your greatness and fulfill your vision:
1. If all obstacles were removed, i.e. money, position in life, obligations, etc., what would I really like to be or do?
2. In terms of a business or career, what do I love doing the most?
3. What positions, endeavors or responsibilities have made me feel the most fulfilled in my career?
4. When have I found myself the most committed, passionate and enthusiastic?
5. In what endeavors have I exemplified the greatest creativity?
6. Are there jobs or occasions when I felt the most confident and decisive?
7. What have others told me I am really good at?
8. Have I earned any special acknowledgements for a job, endeavor or project and felt like I could do it again?
9. Is there something I am good at which I often take a strong stand on?
10. What problems do I see often and feel confident that I am equipped to resolve for others in the form of services, inventions or concepts?
11. What do I like to do in my spare time? Could it be evolved into a career or monetized?
12. What skills or talents do I have that come naturally to me?
13. Can I recollect any school subjects or projects that I excelled at?
14. What is the one thing I am good at, that if I did not act upon it, in 5 or 10 years, I may regret it?
15. What traits do I have that could help me pin point the type of destiny I was called to? i.e. competitive, outgoing, popular, entertaining, social, creative, charismatic, etc.
16. What core values do I possess which may play key roles in determining the best direction?
17. What volunteer activities have I participated in or wish to participate in that would indicate my passion and help me to determine my destiny?
18. What careers or endeavors do I see my friends involved in that appeal to me?
19. Concerning subjects of interest as they relate to career or business, which articles or books am I most drawn to learn more about?
20. Finally, what would be most satisfying to accomplish in my life or career? i.e. helping others, politics, teaching children, motivating audiences, training leaders, bookkeeping, investing, starting a foundation, saving the earth, etc.
Once you have completed the above assignment, you should possess a fairly good picture of where to begin your journey. However, once you begin working on plans to move forward, realize that the line will not always be straight or predictable. While the original concept of your written vision may remain the same, the process and direction taken may change.
