Visioneering Tools for Building Your Success Routine

1) VISIONEERING TOOLS: Since we already covered the power of visualizing, there is no need to go back over it. Many of you may have heard of a “Vision Board”. If you haven’t, I would encourage you to seek out images on the internet so you can see what they look like. I want to suggest a couple of tools which are much easier to create and just as effective.
Vision Paper: Vision Boards can seem like a daunting and burdensome activity. Because of this, so often, they will end up an unfinished project. Even if they are completed, finding a good place for them where they will not lose their impact is another challenge. Sometimes it is best to simplify. Start with a blank Word document or 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper and place six images on it. Add comments or quotes under each one to describe what is in your heart. If you have a computer, you can just search for images to paste there. If you do not, you can draw pictures or paste on cutouts from a magazine. The project itself should take no more than 5-15 minutes to complete. You can duplicate or post these papers in multiple places, then change them as each picture comes into fruition.
Vision Cards: If you did the exercise in Chapter 2, you should have a well-written Personal Vision Statement. To keep it in front of you until you fully memorize it, put it on the “Note Cards” listed above. Alternatively, you can obtain some business card stock and put your vision statement on them. This way you can take these cards with you everywhere.
