063: Trusting Your Instinct with Carol Carpenter

Today's guest is Carol Carpenter, who always had an innate sense of duty and responsibility, which has translated into the way she does business today. In her teenage years, being the eldest, her focus shifted to her mother, who had terminal cancer. During that time she was studying to become a doctor, taking four years of Latin to make her mom proud. After her mother passed away at the age of forty-seven, when our guest was only twenty years old, she realized that she didn't want to complete med school, and changed her major to business management. She began working for a tech firm, met her husband and became the mother of two wonderful boys, but by the time they were teenagers her marriage began to deteriorate, and she began to re-explore her goals and passions. Carol took a Motorcycle Safety Class and developed an insatiable desire to make the track experience welcoming for everyone, including women, and wanted to create an environment where riders could form deep friendships that would last a lifetime.
