90 Making Sense of Menopause with Susan Willson
"Menopause is not something to be fixed, it's an experience" said Susan.
I often wonder if much of the menopause misery we see is down to the fact that the deeper meaning of menopause is not truthfully being shared.
Slapping on a bit of HRT might help short term, but if that's all we're focused on, we're missing out on the true gold of the whole experience.
Symptoms doesn't mean your body is breaking, symptoms are often your body trying to bring itself back into balance. Question is, will you help your body get what it's asking for? Rest - nutrition - sleep - kinder inner dialogue - rolling with change - identity liberation
In today's conversation with Susan Willson author of Making Sense of Menopause, we tap into these following topics:
➡️ Menopause symptoms are not an indication of illness
➡️ Menopause is not a pathology
➡️ The biological arc of a woman's life (aka the continuum)
➡️ The metamorphosis
➡️ Deepening our authentic connection
➡️ The advantage of a little extra weight
➡️ When the veil of oestrogen lifts
➡️ Finding your otherness
➡️ The power of the elder woman
➡️ Why we have lost touch with our bodies
➡️ How the hormones get prioritised when we are stressed
➡️ Circadian rhythms and energy conservation
➡️ Deep sea change
So if you're ready to get some softness (this conversation is lovely and soft), some clarity and a very different way of looking at menopause, this episode is for you.
