Although it is an intimidating process, my husband and I have been doing it for 5 years now and have learned quite a bit along the way. In this episode I talk about why you'd want to process a deer on your own anyway, meat quality, meat processing tools, how to figure out what cuts of meat you'd like, a general step by step process, tips to reduce the "gamey" taste of meat, how to get the best tasting ground venison (that tastes like ground beef) and give you some ideas for some of the cuts that might be sitting at the bottom of your deep freezer.
