Empowering Women in Real Estate® - The Podcast with Karen Cooper
Business:Entrepreneurship
If you are like me, you're forever trying to find the "easy button" for lead generation. We just want something we can buy or some service to subscribe to that will bring in business. The truth is there's just a finesse to it. Listen in to hear Karen explain this fine line!
Karen's main message has always been, "I'm here to help when it's right for you."
That's it.
Don't chase; it puts them on the defensive. It's not her style to ask people on the spot for referrals, to knock doors, or to chase down business, but she does have some examples of business practices she whole-heartedly believes in:
1. Social media: Can your friends even tell that you are a real estate agent from your social media accounts? Whether it's your personal or business account, it should be apparent that this is what you're good at and that this is how you help people.
2. Be the go-to person for all home-related resources. Karen wants to be the person her friends ask about vendors, appliances and advice. If you know a good plumber or painter, share the info! The next time they ask for your help it may be to actually buy a home.
3. Be focused on your geographic farm. Promote good businesses in your community. This indirectly makes you a big name in your community as well.
