1/31: Tens of thousands still without power following deadly winter storm in the Northeast. Daily COVID cases are in a steep decline
A Nor'easter brought heavy snow, howling winds and coastal flooding to much of the Northeast. Tens of thousands are still without power in the bitter cold -- following a deadly winter storm that buried the Northeast. There have been at least four deaths connected to the storm. Turning overseas, North Korea says it has test-fired a missile with the range to hit U.S. Military bases in the western Pacific and capable of carrying a nuclear warhead. It was the most powerful missile that North Korea has tested since 2017 and the latest in a series of launches this month. The U.S. Security Council meets today, as Ukrainians prepare to fight a possible Russian invasion. There is good news in the fight against the coronavirus. The numbers are still very high, but -- nationwide, daily COVID cases are in a steep decline. We are also getting new guidance from the CDC on quarantining kids younger than five, after being exposed to the virus. It's gonna be a Rams- Bengals Super Bowl after a wild pair of comeback wins.
