Alexander Vindman was the Director for European Affairs for the National Security Council under Donald Trump and the military officer who reported the now infamous phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that led to the first of Donald Trump’s two impeachments. Vindman is a military expert in all things Ukraine/Russia and his wife Rachel, a popular writer and podcaster, fills in the civilian perspective. We talk the threat of war, Russia/NATO and America’s role in it all. Whether we end up with war, or fingers crossed, it can be avoided, Vindman wants us to take Russia’s threat of invasion seriously. As we both agree, democracies worldwide deserve to be protected. Autocrats are seeing how far they can push, and we have to show them we have the stomach to push back.
