No alcohol. No flights. No light. Throw in some vampires.
30 Days of Night was released in 2007 and was based on a comic series of the same name. Director David Slade helmed the film after directing numerous music video's and 2004's cult horror classic 'Hard Candy'. Despite being set in northern Alaska the film was shot in New Zealand and half the cast was Aussie/Kiwi.
30 Days of Night centers around Barrow, Alaska and their (extremely fictional) 30 days of darkness during the winter. While the town is cut off from civilization by plane, sea or land - vampires decide to feast on the remaining townspeople. Sheriff Eben must keep the surviving townspeople safe for all 30 days before they can escape the merciless band of vampires.
Join the TPM crew as they debate the best horror (and not so horror) comic book movie adaptions. Once Sin City rolls the debate and we agree Eva Green kills sequels, we bundle up to talk about 2007's Josh Hartnett-led '30 Days of Night'.
