Bullies. Horny Teens. Over-protective parents. Protestants.
The Babysitter is the Netflix original movie that takes the 80s teen babysitter fantasy and darkly updates it for current audiences. The touching relationship between Cole (12 year old outcast) and Bee (cool, hot teen babysitter) lulls you into a false sense of security in the movie's opening third. Once the blood starts flowing in this one, the pace quickens and doesn't let up even until the final credits.
The main lead of the movie is Cole (Judah Lewis) - the 12 year old outsider who still somehow needs a babysitter. His genesis from total loser to smart survivalist is a treat to see and a throwback to 80s coming-of-age films. The main antagonist Bee (Samara Weaving) is equal parts attractive and dangerous - although you never really root against her despite the body count.
