Hawlaw CEO John D Hawkins | How to Be a Personal Injury Attorney
John Hawkins is the founder and CEO of HawLaw, a company that he established in 2002 and has since grown and nurtured. He graduated with honors from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1994 and has been licensed to practice law in South Carolina ever since. During his time at law school, he was part of the Law Review and the Order of Wig and Robe.
John has focused his career on litigation and has vast experience in handling legal matters such as car wrecks, worker's compensation, personal injury, social security disability, administrative law, and criminal law. His familiarity with the courtroom began when he served as a clerk for the South Carolina Supreme Court and the South Carolina Circuit Court. John also served as a South Carolina State Senator for eight years and as a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives for four years.
Furthermore, John has served his country for 23 years in the South Carolina Army and Air National Guard, where he rose to Major and gained even more excellent legal experience as a JAG officer. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Wofford College. John's legal experience as a litigator, Legislator, Senator, and JAG officer, as well as his leadership skills learned in politics and the military, are put to excellent use for the benefit of HawkLaw's clients. He insists that every HawkLaw client receives an amazing client experience, reflecting his love of companies that put their customers first.
Apart from his professional life, John enjoys spending time with his two daughters. He is also an avid reader, cyclist, and pilot.
