News:A unique experience has come to the resort for guests of the Disneyland Resort Hotels. A range of new fitness classes are now available for overnight guests of the Disneyland Hotels. What makes these classes so magical is that some of them are offered inside the parks! One of the options, the Boot Camp in Disney California Adventure Park, is a high intensity boot camp, where guests will move from land to land before the park opens. Another option is the Obstacle Challenge, which takes place at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail before the park opens. There is also a power walking option that takes place in DCA. For a full list of classes and to reserve a place, check out the links in our show notes. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2022/02/disneyland-resort-hotel-guests-can-step-into-fun-new-fitness-classes-at-disneys-grand-californian-hotel-and-spa/ Downtown Disney has joined in on the fun of celebrating Black History Month and Disney’s Celebrate Soulfully. Chalk artist and senior production artisan of Disney Live Entertainment Marcella Swett is creating chalk art near the old ESPN Zone building on the ground. She will be creating a new creation every week. Live music featuring R&B, reggae, funk, and jazz will be available throughout the month. Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen also has jazz piano nightly. – https://www.micechat.com/313691-disneyland-news-update-success-ruins-everything/ For Weeklyteers that like dressing up and looking dapper in the parks, an annual event is coming up! The Spring 2022 Dapper Day is scheduled for Sunday, April 24th, with the Dapper Day Expo taking place April 23rd and 24th. Dapper Day is typically twice per year, once in the Spring and once in the Fall. For all the details and to get tickets and discounted hotel stays, visit the link in the show notes. – https://dapperday.com/pages/spring-2022-california A big change is coming to California soon that could impact your comfort at the Disneyland Resort. Starting February 15th, the indoor mask mandate will be dropped for vaccinated individuals in counties that do not have their own mandates. This includes Orange County, where Disneyland is located. Disneyland has not commented on this change or mentioned if they plan to keep the mandate for guests. With no changes, this would mean that guests who are vaccinated would not need to wear a mask indoors at dining locations, attractions, or anywhere else. – https://dlnewstoday.com/2022/02/california-to-lift-statewide-indoor-mask-mandate-for-vaccinated-individuals-starting-february-15/ The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History wants your Disneyland photos! The museum is looking for photos that show guests, their friends, and families at Disneyland or Walt Disney World along with a description of what the photo and visit meant to you, when the visit took place, and with who. The photos and stories will be used in an upcoming exhibit. For information on how to submit your photos and stories, visit the link in our show notes. – https://dlnewstoday.com/2022/02/smithsonian-national-museum-of-american-history-seeking-family-photos-from-disney-for-future-exhibit/
