British Murders with Stuart Blues
True Crime
S04E08 - Euan Peters (The Murder of Shafiul Islam)
In the eighth episode of British Murders Season 4, I tell the story of Euan Peters and Shafiul Islam.
Peters, who also went by Sax Coke, was an underground UK hip hop artist who was well known to the police.
On November 14, 2019, Peters visited Islam’s flat in Newport, South Wales, and proceeded to attack him multiple times with a glass Kopparberg cider bottle.
Islam suffered severe brain injuries and died 6 days later at Royal Gwent Hospital as a result.
Peters received a life sentence with a minimum term of 33 years in April 2021.
