Episode 76: Django Unchained (2012)

This week at The Film Club we're continuing our Director's Spotlight on the films of Quentin Tarantino with his Academy Award winning film, Django Unchained. The film tells the story of Django a slave who is freed by a Bounty Hunter by the name of Dr. King Schultz who's on a mission tracking down the Brittle brothers and Django knows where to find them. After helping Schultz Django sets out on his own mission to rescue his wife who is a slave and working at a plantation in Mississippi. On their journey to Mississippi Schultz teaches Django the Bounty Hunting business by taking down lots of dangerous wanted men leading them to the worst of the worst plantation owner Calvin Candie. Calvin Candie has Django's wife and Django intends on rescuing her no matter how many men he has to take on. Will Django be able to rescue his wife from Candie Land? Or will Calvin Candie defeat Django? Join us as we dive into the world of Django Unchained.
