SITD 10/6/21: Strictly Business Turn on Nick Aldis, Charlie Dempsey Debuts

John Siino reviews this week’s editions of AEW Dark, AEW Dark: Elevation, NXT UK, 205 Live, NJPW Strong, NWA Powerrr, Ring of Honor, and Main Event in under 15 minutes on Shot In The Dark.

This week on AEW Dark, we get the debut of Anthony Henry (fka Asher Hale from NXT) as he takes on former EVOLVE rival Eddie Kingston, Santana Garrett makes her AEW wrestling debut as she takes on Diamante after her challenge from last week, Skye Blue tries to get her first win and Orange Cassidy takes on Nick Comoroto in the main event.

NXT UK has the reintroduction and wrestling debut of Charlie Dempsey, the son of William Regal. Ilja Dragunov and A-Kid have a face to face before their upcoming NXT UK Championship match and Xia Brookside shows a different side after her match with Dani Luna.

On NWA Powerrr, Nick Aldis teams up with Tim Storm to take on his team mates Chris Adonis & Thom Latimer of Strictly Business, but things get ugly after the match for Aldis. James Storm takes on Judais in a rematch and Allysin Kay gets involved in the match between Kylie Rae & Lady Frost. 

Also, FTR debuts their new ‘Midnight Express’ inspired theme song on AEW Dark: Elevation, Tom Lawlor defends his Strong Openweight Championship against Lio Rush on NJPW Strong, Imperium and Dante Chen debut on 205 Live, six challengers confront newly crowned Women’s Champion Rok-C on ROH, John Morrison debuts on Main Event, and more!

PLUS, Siino discusses Noam Dar having to vacate his ICW World Heavyweight Championship on ICW Fight Club as well as previewing this week’s upcoming MLW Fightland and IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Knockdown.
