Be With Me: 7 Minutes of Biblical Wonder
Religion & Spirituality:Christianity
General Douglas MacArthur left the Philippines in the dark days of 1942 because of the advancing Japanese army vowing, "I shall return". In 1944, he returned to Leyte Island after the tide of the war turned.
Similarly, near the end of second missionary journey, Paul vows to the Ephesus church, "I will return to you if God wills." There is barely a church there, so he leaves Aquilla and Pricilla to establish them. True to his word, Paul makes a 800 mile bee-line to Ephesus on the third missionary journey. Apparently, God indeed does will, as He is making a people for his name.
Join me as we admire the big picture of the missionary journeys. Paul is on the road for about 9.5 of 12 years from 46ad to 57ad. He leaves Ephesus in the spring of 51AD, but returns quickly. bewithme.us or bewithme.us@gmail.com or apple podcasts.
