You may have heard of the New Jersey Devil? Also called the Leeds Devil, it is a flying, screaming, biped creature with cloven hooves, a horse or goat head, leathery wings and a forked tail, that is said to inhabit the remote woods of Pine Barrens, New Jersey. While some remain skeptical of it, others from New Jersey believe the Devil himself exists and inhabits certain residents of the state, making them torture and kill others in ritualistic and sadistic ways...Two such residents of the state were 14-year-old Tommy Sullivan Jr. and 46-year-old John List. Tommy killed his own mother before killing himself, when he was just a young teenager, leaving behind an ominous note detailing a contract with the devil whose demonic possession over him forced him to commit the murder. John List, a devout Christian, killed his own mother, wife and three children to save their immortal souls. He was worried for their characters in the name of Christianity because his 16-year-old daughter claimed to be a witch, hold seances at a demonic altar deep in the woods, and worship Satan. Listen to The Devil Worship Murders and decide for yourself if the name implies a simple, fun NHL hockey team mascot, or if the Devil really lurks inside the Great State of New Jersey...Show Notes:https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/death-on-the-devils-teeth-jesse-pollack/1121763995https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Listhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jersey_DevilThanks to our sponsors:The Female Dating Strategyhttps://open.spotify.com/show/1yEtiYEtlLyutV8w3jpeTZHelpYouFind.Mewww.HelpYouFind.Me/newjersey10Smells Like HumansLike spending time with funny friends talking about curious human behavior.
