I was being so negative for about a month.
I languished in it until my husband (who wouldn't say boo to a goose) said, "oh my gosh, you've got to snap out of this, you are depressing to be around and half the stuff you're telling yourself is a complete lie."It was a jolt. It was the wake up call I needed.
And in that moment, I did.
I snapped out of it because I was embarrassed.
Since then, I've been using the 'snap out of it' method to dig myself out.
And while I don't believe everyone can just 'snap out of it', sometimes we can if we give it a go.
BUT,
I want to tell you something else.
We can also snap IN TO it. I'm talking about CONFIDENCE.
Confidence at midlife often wanes, but that's because we're measuring our worth against a subset of patriarchal rules, and you and I both know, they are outdated, outmoded and pretty much redundant now.
So how about writing your own rules for midlife to help you regain your inner confidence?
I'll see you inside the episode.
