Season 3 Podcast 39 Rewriting the Ten Commandments
Rewriting the Ten Commandments
One example of how Social Democrats are taking away freedom of religion and making government our new God is in the way they are systematically destroying the Bill of Rights.
The left is using fear to try and take away our right to bear arms. They are using the same tactics to take away our freedom of speech and freedom of religion. Political correctness, for example, is nothing more than the conscience of a few imposed on the many. It is replacing Christian virtues with government approved new world order ethics. It has become the state religion. What is the difference, for example, in the wording of the Ten Commandments?
· Thou shalt not commit adultery.
· Thou shalt not take the name of God in vain.
And the wording of Political Correctness?
1. Thou shalt not speak evil of political correctness.
2. Thou shalt not use the terms illegal aliens, handicapped, terrorist, etc.
3. Thou shalt not use natural law to determine gender
4. Thou shalt not pray to God in public schools or use the name of God in public places.
5. Thou shalt not put crosses or any other Christian icons on government lands.
6. Thou shalt not display “In God we Trust” in the halls of Congress.
7. Thou shalt not wear fur or burn fossil fuels or eat meat.
8. Thou shalt not pledge allegiance to the flag.
9. Thou shalt not let a good crisis go to waste.
10. Thou shalt not display the Ten Commandments on government property.
It is astonishing how outraged the social democrats become if Christians try to impose their virtues on them, and how outraged they become when they cannot impose their virtues on us. Hypocrisy is a necessary byproduct of socialism and totalitarianism because it cannot stand up under logic. Millions have died to preserve freedom to bear arms, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and freedom of the press, yet when those rights are taken away in the name of government approved virtue, there is silence. For example, traditionally the press has fought valiantly for freedom of speech when they perceived a threat, but like the frog in the boiling water, they do not even whimper when it is forfeited to satisfy political correctness.
They consider it a virtue to give up freedom of speech by filtering the news and slanting it to fit their ideology, by bowing to political correctness, by giving opinion not fact, by using inference not logic, by passing judgment not advancing truth, by advancing the liberal agenda, or by having opposing views censored.
