Welcome to Season 3 of Dragonfly Tales, a story podcast for children (and grown ups) of all ages.
Thank you so much for being patient with us this week - we had some naughty gremlins at work and had to re-do the recording . Gah!!
However, we are so happy with this episode, as it features the lovely Kaila from California, who shares her tale of How the Sea became Salty. She is just BRILLIANT!
If you would like to tell a tale on the podcast, have a practise at telling a 5minute folktale. Then you can record it for us (an iPhone works great if you place it on a flat surface and keep one hands width away from the microphone). You can send it to us by emailing it to emilydragonflytales@gmail.com and we will have a listen.
Our story this episode takes us to ancient Egypt, land of pharaohs, gods, desert, hieroglyphs and the river Nile.
And a goddess who will not rest until her loved one is restored to her.
The story is a bout death, but also about life. The ancient Egyptians honoured and preserved their dead, believing that they would be reunited in the Afterlife. If you want to find out more about the Ancient Egyptians, you can do so HERE.
If you would like a SHOUT OUT, or to tell a tale on the podcast, the best thing to do is join the Dragonfly Tales story chat on Facebook. However, if you don't use Facebook, you can email us at emilydragonflytales@gmail.com and we will try our best to give you a shout out.
And If you would like to donate a little something towards our podcast, we would be so grateful. You can donate to Dragonfly Tales Podcast by clicking here: DONATE
