The Pipeman interviews Taz from the band Friends of Hell. The idea for the band is 4 members to make heavy metal music. They wanted to use their influences and mix it together and create songs for the band. Slower mid-tempo type of metal music. Metal was always meant to be experimental. Its metal that has a groove to it. It has an old school real music type of feel. That was the idea when creating the music. You can’t try and be metal. Its either you are, or you aren’t. Heavy metal is a specific type of genre. The new debut album Friends of Hell is dropping March 18th via Rise Above. You can connect with them on Facebook and Instagram. You can get the records from Rise Above Records or local record stores. They are older so they don’t use the social platforms as much, they think its kind of stupid… In the 80s if you weren’t a true metal head you weren’t allowed into the venue.
