What was the darkest time of your life? Many of us have encountered things in our lives that were traumatic.
George Wood grew up in a home where there was much turmoil. This led to about 25 years of darkness for George from being a little boy until he was a grown man. In this episode, which is part 1 of a 3-part series, George Wood unveils the years of hell that he went through before Christ entered his life. He very candidly talks about his parents' divorce, mental illness, depression, drug abuse, alcoholism, being sexually abused, tragic things that happened to members of his family and much more.
George A Wood is an ordained minister, pastoral care counselor, recovery ministry founder, and beloved child of a good-Father God. A former addict and suicide survivor, George has dedicated his life to radically grace-laced, Christ-centered recovery for people struggling with addiction, mental health problems, and suicidal thoughts. Along with helping people find the way to a whole life, one that is worth living for. That includes healing in all areas that a person may experience life altering trauma including race, class, education, relationships and the list goes on.
