Episode 34: Adam LaRoche E3 Ranch Foundation

From the first moment that I met Adam LaRoche, I could sense that he was different than anyone that I had ever met before. In spite of being a Major League Baseball star and a central figure on The Buck Commander,  there was something about the way he carried himself that I had never experienced. Over a decade since that initial meeting, it was his faith in Christ that set him apart and would ultimately form the basis of our friendship. 

Now six years removed from a successful career in the big leagues, Adam spends his time fighting the global war on sex trafficking as well as hosting Veterans on his Kansas property.  One of the most humble human beings I have ever met, he has a servant's heart and HHAUSA is honored to be a partner of his E3 Ranch Foundation.

In this episode, Adam shares a funny story about his initial meeting with the Robertson family as a rookie with the Atlanta Braves. I return the favor and share a story of my own of how I missed out on a piece of baseball history, thanks in part to an ill-timed trip to the concession stand at one of his games back in 2010. The conversation then takes a serious turn as we discuss his departure from baseball as well as his work to combat sex trafficking. He also talks at length about how he became involved with our Service Members and how special it is to work with the Veteran community. 

Our world is filled with athletes who's egos are only slightly smaller than their paychecks. This statement has and never will apply to Adam LaRoche. He continues to pay it forward every day by being a blessing to others and shining a light into a dark world. Thank you Adam. Your work, God's work, is not going unnoticed.
