The Core 4 is meant to serve us, we’re not meant to serve the Core 4. Nick was reminded of that this past weekend when going too hard for too long resulted in a panic attack. Nick knew he needed to slow down, and once he did, he felt the energy shift. We all need that time to ourselves to just be. As they say, we’re human beings, not human doings. The old Nick would’ve gone down a rabbit hole of self-pity, but because of the Core 4 lifestyle, he’s better able to recognize when he needs to course correct. Knowing who you are, what you need, why you need it, and how to get it is key. Sometimes we have to be selfish because putting ourselves first will ultimately allow us to give more to others. We have to all remember that self-care is the most selfless care.
