Ep. 201 - This is why you're beating yourself up (and how to stop)
When you hear yourself say the following:
I'm doing X too much
I'm not doing X enough
I should do more of X
I should do less of X
... you're following someone else's rules.
Knock that shit off.
Two questions to ask:
Who says? Whose rules?
And... is doing (too much, to little) of X preventing me from a higher priority of mine? No? Then who cares? If yes - THAT is where you can proceed to try to change yourself.
But we are no longer changing ourselves because of some arbitrary rule someone told us we "should" play by.
