Everybody experiences high levels of chaos at some point in time with your children. It can be multiple times a day, it could be later on. As a mum, you develop a really low tolerance for drama, so one thing you get really good at is if your kids try to bring up drama or situations get dramatic, you just don’t tolerate it. It’s the same thing for chaos and you want to create enough order that your kids become orderly. Boredom is often the cause of chaos, but you don’t always want to cure their boredom, especially with TV and technology as this can often lead to more chaos. Instead it can be good to let them come up with a game or something creative that occupies their time and gets them playing together.

“If you let them be bored for 5 minutes without trying to fill the boredom, eventually they go off together and they come up with a game, and then you see them creatively playing a game like they would outside if there was nothing.” 7:29
