Episode 9: What f*cking "Culture war"- its our lives? LGBTQIA+ in the west

I'm under no illusions that our lives could be worse- but why are our lives bad at all based on who we are?

The west often loves to talk about how progressive it is for not openly reviling LGBTQIA people- and yet here we are, in a society where trans people are being banned from accessing healthcare, trans kids are under threat of being taken away from their parents, gay hate crimes have spiked over 190% in the UK alone and the United Kingdom is home to a virulent, threatening and dangerous anti trans movement who pretends to care for women and children by spreading misinformation and hate about a small community.

Life is getting harder and harder for LGBTQIA people in the west, and we will fight if we must- but why do we need to? Let's look at some of the anti LGBT+ legislation being brought in and see if we really believe that bills designed to prevent access to healthcare or prevent the word gay from being spoken about in schools is "protecting" anyone- or just designed to attack a tired and already fractured community.
