Issei Sagawa

This episode of The Good, The Bad and The Pure Evil is about Issei Sagawa or the Kobe Cannibal. In 1981 he killed and devoured Renee Hartevelt in Paris. He would chop her and eat her for a period of days until the police came knocking after finding a suitcase with her remains. From wealth he was able to buy his way out of the asylums and eventually buying freedom! He wasn't ashamed of what he did and would boast about it at interviews and to the media. He now lives free but is disabled and is dependent on daily care from care workers.
