Building Successful Careers (Part 1): "Do It While Your Hair Is Black" With Shamima Nyamekye
In this episode, Shamima, a 21-year old career & educational consultant joins us for our series, "Building Successful Careers"
Be original. Why be an "OK" doctor when you can be a great lawyer? When it comes to building successful careers, the first thing is to start out with what you are passionate about and begin the journey.
Don't just rely on passion, you need to also cultivate the habit of researching and connecting with people who are where you want to be. Passion alone won't sustain you, you will also need to figure out how you can turn your passion into profits.
If you are a student, Shamima also encourages you to engage in a lot of extracurricular activities so you develop other relevant skills needed for life after school.
Don't put yourself in a box! If you don't do it while your hair is black, you will do it when your hair is white!
Do the hard things now and it will always pay off. Don't forget to put God in the center and He will always direct you.
Shamima shares these and more on building successful careers.
