Co-Existence; Joy, Pain and Truth
Education:Self-Improvement
#17 Rachael Herron & Misha Safran ~ Passing Joy Around the World
I am sooooo excited! Today my guest is Rachael Herron. Rachael Herron is the internationally bestselling author of more than two dozen books, including thriller (under R.H. Herron), mainstream fiction, feminist romance, memoir, and nonfiction about writing. She received her MFA in writing from Mills College, Oakland, and she teaches writing extension workshops at both UC Berkeley and Stanford. She is a proud member of the NaNoWriMo Writer’s Board. She’s a New Zealand citizen as well as an American. You can reach Rachael at www.rachaelherron.com and her newest book out via Penguin is called Stolen Things. If you want to learn how to get joy from writing, feel free to also look up the writing fun challenge for November: National Novel Writing Month; write a book in one month!
In this episode, Rachael and I talk about the co-existence of pain and joy and tools some of us have and some do not. This is something extremely important to recognize in the face of a mental health crisis in the USA; inequities in access to support when depressed and/or in personal crisis.
Since today is Thankful Thursday I like to ask you what are you grateful for? Feel free to message me your gratitudes!
