According to the Minnesota Department of Health, Minnesota had one of the highest binge drinking rates in the nation in 2019. Alcohol-related deaths are on the rise, especially among men, as are the number of alcohol-related diseases and injuries requiring hospital treatment. How do we, as practicing Catholics, work against the evils of alcoholism while simultaneously loving and supporting the people under that affliction?
