Diet culture has made us obsessed with calories and counting them. It has embedded this idea that when we talk about food and nutrition, calories are the only thing that matter. This is simply not true! We are not buckets to fill in and empty out. Our bodies are complex! And there are many ways to improve your health (and even lose weight, if that’s what you’re trying to do) that don’t focus on restrictions.
