From 1992 until 1997, Paul was a musician, songwriterand producer during the heyday of the Halifax indie music scene. In late1997 he moved to the film and television industry, working as the ProgramAdministrator at the Nova Scotia Film Development Corporation and aconsultant for several provincial governments before he founded theHalifax-based production company Redstar Films in 1999. He has since hadwork commissioned by a wide variety of networks and distributors,including the CBC, Space, TVNZ, Vision TV, Bravo, Content Films, and B7Media. His films include the documentaries Stanton T. Friedman Is Real,Best Evidence: Top 10 UFO Sightings, Denise Djokic: Seven Days SevenNights, Synchronicity, and Fields of Fear, the television series TheClassical Now and Ghost Cases, and the feature films Eternal Kiss andDamnation. He has served as the Treasurer and President of the Nova ScotiaFilm and Television Producers Association, a member of the Nova ScotiaFilm Advisory Committee, and was a founding member of the Motion PictureIndustry Association of Nova Scotia. His paranormal-themed blog, The OtherSide of Truth, has been read by over 1,000,000 people since its creationin 2005, and he has appeared on myriad radio and television programs overthe past decade to discuss his films, including Coast to Coast, TheX-Zone, Binnall of America, The Kevin Smith Show, Radio Misterioso, NightFright, The Paranormal Podcast, and Strange Days Indeed. He has writtenfor various magazines, including Phenomena and Alien Worlds, and spoken ata number of conferences in Canada, the United States, and the UnitedKingdom. Paul lives in his hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia, where hecontinues to enjoy chocolate chip cookies, the zen of the vanillamilkshake, and slow walks to nowhere in particular.
