Liverpool were temporarily top of the Premier League after they defeated Watford 2-0 at Anfield in Saturday’s early kick-off thanks to goals from Diogo Jota and Fabinho.

Watford were persistent all afternoon and managed to keep the Reds at bay, until Juraj Kucka decided to rugby tackle Diogo Jota off the ball during a corner, and VAR rightly awarded a penalty which was slammed home by Fabinho.
