New Year Resolutions are easy to make but hard to keep. What can we do to be a better person and work towards being the best version of ourselves possible? On this dojo, Tony dives into the steps and various ways methods we can implement when we attempt to make a behavioral or habitual change in our lives.
The How starts with ‘The Why’. Why are we doing what we’re doing? Ask yourself, “Why am I choosing this? Why is this so important for me to be doing and is it the right thing for me to do?” ‘The What’ is the mindset that we have and the specific strategies and habits that we have. What is going to be our mindset going into ur behavioral change? Mindset is crucial, so if we’re going to be doing something different, we have to believe that we can do it. And lastly, probably the most important thing as we go into this is our identity- who we identify ourselves as, as we go into this. By de-identifying ourselves from the behavior we want to change from and identifying ourselves with the new one we seek, it can help us get closer to achieving our goals because when we identify with our goals, it helps us to remain consistent and live up to our identity.
