How To Use Failure To Get What You Want Faster
Is there a wrong way to fail?
This might sound contradictory to what I teach about failure, but yes, to some extent, I do think there is a wrong way to fail. The best way to explain this is that there are two types of failure: active failure and inactive failure.
Inactive failure happens when you fail because you literally didn’t take action. Active failure happens when you take action but don’t quite meet your goal. Which one of those do you think is going to get you closer to success?
If you don't take action, you won't learn anything from the failure.
If you’re joining me for the 50 fails experiment this year, this episode is going to help you make sure you’re setting effective goals and getting the most out of your failures. If you’re not sure what I’m talking about, you might want to catch the last episode which was all about the 50 fails experiment.
Tune in to find out whether you're failing effectively or ineffectively, and what to do about it.
