When Han Pan was awoken in the middle of the night by an armed intruder in his home, his only thoughts were of his family. His son, Felix, was away at university, but his 24 year daughter, Jennifer, and his wife, Bich Ha, were home. He was led downstairs to see Bich sitting in the living room, a second intruder holding a gun to his neck. Han and Bich exchanged words in Cantonese - both worried about Jennifer, both wondering how on Earth the intruders had gotten inside the house they always kept locked and alarmed. The answers to those questions would shock everyone.
