They manipulate the people, events, circumstances, emotions, and even spirituality in the human's life in order to cause the man to turn away from God little by little. It deals with the lies and subtle temptations that the devil can use to lead us to hell without us even knowing it. Screwtape values subtle and devious methods, writing in one letter, “Indeed the safest road to Hell is the gradual one---the gentle slope, soft underfoot, without sudden turnings, without milestones, without signposts. Join me as we continue an amazing Lenten journey through the Screwtape letters! Let’s strive together to be good Men for God, for our families, for our Churches, and for ourselves!
