EP 48- Ryan Horn, Founder of Extraordinary Man: Fuzzy Targets Don't Get Hit
Every entrepreneur has a similar story and it usually involves sleeping on a friend’s couch, eating Ramen Noodles, working shitty jobs, for shitty people, making shitty money with limited options. Most people who know them today did not see the 20 + years of hard work they put in trying to build something from nothing.
Ryan Horn is Founder of Extraordinary Man, a program that teaches men how to build their businesses and become the people they were intended to be. He’s host of the Extraordinary Man Podcast and operates Masterminds to help men become better in all areas of their lives.
Today’s episode is powerful on a few different levels. Ryan dives in and talks about how he comes from an entrepreneurial family and a time when he was younger and decided to put together calendars for himself and started selling. He went to college for Exercise Science and closer to his senior year, learned it was tough to get a job as a strength and conditioning coach. He decided that starting a business would be a better option and moved from his hometown of 300 people to the bustling metropolis in the Twin Cities and started a personal training business. Ryan candidly shares how he hit a rough patch in his life when his business wasn’t developing as he preferred. This landed him living on his Aunt’s couch in a Senior Community where he had to sneak in and out to work at a temporary job at a manufacturing company. Steve, Jason, and Ryan discuss how you know you’re living below your potential and one book that broke open the doors to running full steam ahead into being a high-performing entrepreneur, mentor and coach to thousands of men.
