Prior to beginning training as a violin maker in 2017 at Merton College (London), Emma worked as a book cover designer and typesetter where she learned the joy of small details which has translated into her approach to violin making.
During much of her training as a violin maker she worked part time as the manager for Les Aldrich Music, where she developed a particular interest in violins for children and adult learners, wishing to provide access to instruments for players from a wide variety of backgrounds.
Emma even plays violin herself as she has found being able to fully appreciate the art and sound of playing a violin aides her ability to make a high quality violin.
