Boomerang Katherine Cobb, and her international PwC journey
In this episode we speak with Katherine Cobb, who is a Partner at PwC Adelaide, leading Governance, Risk & Compliance in the Assurance business, with a focus on Financial Services and Health.
Most recently Katherine has been leading the Go-To-Market activities for PwC's Connected Solutions practice in the United States, where she would collaborate with senior stakeholders within organisations to build, manage and maintain a range of innovative and emerging technology solutions to solve risk and regulatory issues. From contract tracing devices for financial services and law firms during COVID, to employee rapid response buttons in hotels and casino resorts, to asset tracking/Real Time Location Services (RTLS) in hospitals – Katherine thrives in the intersection of risk and tech.
Previously Katherine advised on Internet of Things (IoT) implementations, change management, program implementation and evolving risk and regulatory issues. My passion for Risk and Regulatory Consulting was driven by her role as Chief of Staff to the US Risk & Regulatory Consulting Leader where she supported the Strategy, Operations and Go To Market approach of this practice.
Her dynamic experience across both the Australian and United States market, having worked at PwC in Perth, San Jose, New York, Washington DC and now in Adelaide has exposed her to various multi-faceted products, challenges and cultures which led to discovering multiple insights and creating new technology-forward solutions.
Katherine's book recommendation is the 5am Club and her podcast recommendation is The Daily by the New York Times
