In six days, 52-year-old Melissa Lucio is scheduled to be executed by the state of Texas. She was convicted of murdering her two-year-old daughter, Mariah, in 2008, but her attorneys say the child's death was an accident and have filed a petition for clemency pointing to new evidence. WFAA Reporter Jobin Panicker recently spoke to Melissa’s son, John Lucio, as well as others involved in the effort to stay her execution.
