EP 49- Kirstin Smith, Founder and CEO of Kirstin Smith Fitness: Confessions of an Unhappy Housewife
There are people that roam this planet that don’t fit into molds. They can conform long enough and follow a path to a certain place, but then something happens…….a break occurs. A break with “traditional” thinking. Common sense sets in. Intelligence circumvents the handicapping handcuffs of “leaders” telling us what’s best for the rest of us when they don’t truly “know” us. These individuals become defiantly focused on making a lasting change starting in their household. It requires them to strip everything down to the studs and begin the process of rebuilding with newer, more robust material.
Kirstin Smith, is Founder of Kirstin Smith Fitness, is a certified Nutritionist, Trainer, and well-educated in Middle Eastern studies. She’s mother and now teacher to 4 lovely little humans and spends her time helping fellow women find the most elite versions of themselves through fitness, mindset, and nutrition.
Today, Steve, Jason, and Kirstin take the bull by the horns immediately talking about what makes Kirstin different from other women. She talks about her early days in her educational journey, finding love, and starting a family. Kirstin shares what it’s like living in a groundhog cycle and how she broke out of repeating the same pattern every single day. It started with her focusing on herself and not expecting anyone else, including her husband to change that for her. Kirstin is fiery in her positioning as it pertains to our freedoms in this country and shares why Freedom is one of her core values. She has some great advice for anyone married to an entrepreneur and anyone who is saying they’re going to show up for their family but aren’t quite hitting the mark. Kirstin gets real and vulnerable about where she came up short and how she was able to keep her family moving in the same direction. Now, she’s helping many other families do the same.

Favorite Quote:
“When you’re a family building a business, you do make a lot of sacrifices for the business. You gotta make sure you’re bringing your wife on board and if you’re asking her to sacrifice and she’s not getting those little tidbits that are rewarding that keep you going, you’ve gotta throw her a bone every once in a while so that she keeps going with you.”
