Geektown Radio 340: ‘Insomnia 68’, ‘The Batman’ Reviews, Plus TV News & UK Air Dates!
The Geektown Radio podcast returns for a new episode, and the lovely Bex from Trista Bytes has found the time to stop by this week to chat through the last seven days on UK TV, film, and gaming, alongside the usual TV news and UK TV air dates!
Bex has been very busy over the last few weeks travelling up and down the UK as her job hosting panels on stage for various gaming events. We chat through her work at OLL Gaming Convention in Norfolk, Format.GG in Manchester, and the return of Insomnia Gaming Festival in Birmingham for the first time since the pandemic. Not only that, her time on the road has enabled her to catch up on tv and films, so she reviews 'The Suicide Squad' and the spin-off tv series 'Peacemaker', along with finally watching the first 'Sonic the Hedgehog' film. Meanwhile, I chat about the mindblowing Apple TV+ series 'Severance', review 'Russian Doll' Season 2, and we both give our thought on 'The Batman', which is out now for rent on home release.
Over in the TV news, we chat through the tv renewals, cancellations and pickups this week. Next, we discuss the issues with Netflix that may have led to its decline in users. That's followed by news of a new real-time Apple TV+ drama starring Idris Elba from the creators of ‘Criminal' which might scratch that '24' itch, along with Tom Ellis & Lucy Liu teaming up for a bizarre new animated series for Netflix!
