Today Fumi Saito & Justin Knipper went over the shift in All Japan ownership as we entered into the Keiji Muto era of AJPW that featured stars like Genichiro Tenryu and Satoshi Kojima as well as Muto himself winning the tournament. They also talked quite a bit about HUSTLE, too, since Muto would wrestle as the Great Muta for HUSTLE at the time. Of course, with HUSTLE talk also comes general discussion of the Dark Ages of Japanese pro wrestling and the overarching influence of MMA from this point on. They also went over the importance of Minoru Suzuki to AJPW in the late ’00s and early ’10 when he won the CC in ’09 and ’10 in addition to winning the Triple Crown and basically returning to traditional pro wrestling.
