Rewind to 2004, where just two years after the release of the movie that would change comic book movies forever – Spider-Man (2002), we were privileged with the release of the follow up film. When a failed nuclear fusion experiment results in an explosion that kills his wife, Dr. Otto Octavius (Alfred Molina) is transformed into Dr. Octopus, a cyborg with deadly metal tentacles. Meanwhile, Spider-Man’s alter ego, Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire), faces fading powers and self-doubt. Complicating matters are his best friend Harry Osborn’s (James Franco) hatred for Spider-Man and his true love Mary Jane Watson’s (Kirsten Dunst) sudden engagement to another man.
