147. Letting go of the Lifejacket and Clinging to the Savior with Katy Weirich
Here at the Millennial Mission Podcast, we want to show you the good, the bad, and the beautiful of our guests’ stories and as we share Christian singer-songwriter, Katy Weirich, with you today, we hope you are encouraged by her story.
Katy shares on this week’s episode about how little baby steps blossomed into leading worship, writing her own songs, and ultimately desiring to release a worship album. And as a fellow mom, it was so good to hear her story and to pick her brain on a variety of topics.
We chat all about Postpartum Depression and how coming out of that really dark place is where God graced Katy with lyrics to the songs on her latest EP (releasing in June). When she wrote her EP, she was unaware she would become pregnant again and would be going through the PPD for a third time. We talk about how God can stir beauty up from ash and share our opinions on how the Proverbs 31 woman is actually an attainable goal and is a beautiful picture of womanhood in our world today.
I just loved chatting with Katy and I know you’ll enjoy listening in. Enjoy, friends!
