On this week's episode of True Crime New England, take a trip up north to New Sweden, Maine and learn about the details of coffee hour gone wrong. After a normal morning service in the Gustaf Adolph Lutheran Church church, the residents of New Sweden were enjoying baked goods and coffee when several people started to get violently ill. Very quickly, a total of sixteen people ended up in the hospital with severe vomiting and other food-poisoning-like symptoms. It was soon discovered that the churchgoers had been poisoned with arsenic, and 78-year-old Walter Morrill was dead as a result. Listen in to hear why a frantic call to the police five days later led to the discovery of the source of this fatal attack.
