The Penguins played fine, but it's time for some adjustments
It wasn't meant to be for the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday night. Hunter is joined by Rachel Nones of The Hockey Writers to dissect the game and what went wrong for the Penguins, plus what went right for the Rangers. They first touch on the adjustments that the Rangers made and how they were able to give the Penguins a bit of a tough time defensively. Hunter then looks at what went wrong in front of the net for Louis Domingue before breaking down his performance. Was it good enough to win on most nights? What does the rest of the team need to do to make sure he's put in the best position to come away with the win? They then break down the Rangers' deadline moves and how those players, plus their depth is stepping up in this series, while for the Penguins, it's nowhere to be found. What line changes would Hunter make going into Game 3? Rachel also touches on those players that are making an impact (Yes, especially Frank Vatrano) before they get to some special teams talk. What are the Rangers doing that is frustrating the Penguins PK? What adjustments does Mike Velluci's unit need to make? All that, plus much more on this episode of Locked On Penguins.
