This is the sort of conversation that I love.
It's really beautiful to talk to Keith about how life has shaped who he is - the philosophy of being free from society's contract of who we are, freedom from the notion of "Me", being free to believe that everything is life, that it's OK to not really understand where we are going and how music has the power to unite us if we will allow ourselves to listen deeply . We're going into some deep - but really important, strong, positive and harmonious - beliefs and ideas here.
Musically, Xander and the Peace Pirates are fusing a whole load of classic influences - Stevie Wonder, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Free, Muddy Waters and….bear with me here….that early 90's Soul Asylum and Collective Soul rocker vibe.
Go check out their new album Order Out Of Chaos - it's a beautiful document that shows the humanity and wonderful musicianship of the band to the max.
